A ‘Narcissistic’ Mom is born with a good heart, but with a Fragile Sense of Self (ego) due to childhood trauma, her defenses will unconsciously have to protect/ feed her ego, thereby..
being this ‘amazing’ person who’s always right
wanting our best according to what she thinks is best, not necessarily to what is best
telling us how to think/ behave, teaching us to trust her instead of our own judgement
leaving us feeling ashamed when we don’t comply or when we question/ don’t idealise her
