Ree Drummond’s daughter Alex recently opened up about her first few weeks of motherhood journey after welcoming her baby daughter, Sofia, in mid-December with her husband, Mauricio Scott. In a heartfelt Instagram update on January 14, Alex, 27, shared the challenges and joys of adjusting to motherhood.
The biggest surprise for Alex has been the demanding schedule of breastfeeding, which she described as “mental gymnastics” and a “full-time job.” She expressed amazement at how her body is sustaining her baby’s growth, saying, “It’s incredible that my body is doing this.”
Despite the sleep deprivation, Alex also mentioned how deeply she has fallen in love with her newborn. “I just love her so much, and I would literally lay my life down for her,” she said, adding that nothing about caring for her baby feels like a chore.
Alex also touched on battling postpartum challenges like the “sundown scaries” and finding quick solutions, such as onesies, to simplify baby care.
Sofia’s birth also marked a special milestone for her grandmother, Ree Drummond, host of The Pioneer Woman. Ree has shared adorable photos of Sofia on social media, giving fans a glimpse into her new role as a grandmother.
