Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan recently shared insights into his parenting values and the invaluable lessons he draws from his legendary father, Amitabh Bachchan. Speaking in an interview with CNBC-TV18, Abhishek revealed how his father, even at the age of 82, continues to inspire him with his unmatched dedication to work. Amitabh, known as the “Shahenshah of Bollywood,” begins his shoots as early as 7 a.m., setting an example of discipline and commitment.
Abhishek mentioned his desire to instill similar values in his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, emphasizing the importance of leading by example. Reflecting on his upbringing, he credited his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, for teaching him the significance of values over words. He said, “Today, whatever I have learned from my parents is by observing their actions, not just by listening to their advice.”
On parenting, Abhishek admitted that emotions could sometimes cloud a parent’s judgment. However, he believes that the freedom his parents gave him to make his own decisions has been a cornerstone of his learning. He expressed his aspiration to follow in his father’s footsteps and hopes Aaradhya will one day look up to him the same way he admires Amitabh.
Abhishek also addressed rumors about his personal life, quashing speculations about tension with his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The couple was recently spotted together at Aaradhya’s school event, putting the gossip to rest.
On the professional front, Abhishek is gearing up for exciting projects, including Siddharth Anand’s King alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Remo D’Souza’s Be Happy.
