Actor Abhishek Bachchan has opened up about his unique parenting strategy for his 13-year-old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. Unlike traditional methods, Abhishek believes that the way he was raised might not work for Aaradhya, given the generational changes.
In a recent interview, the Bollywood actor shared that while parents can guide their children, emotions may cloud their judgment. He feels it’s better to lead by example rather than rely solely on advice. “Whatever I’ve learned from my parents came from watching their actions, not just their words,” he explained.
Highlighting the differences between generations, Abhishek noted how today’s kids, unlike his generation, are more curious and less reliant on parental authority. “In our time, if parents said something, we obeyed. Now, kids want explanations, and they rely on resources like Google for answers,” he said.
Abhishek credits his niece Navya Naveli Nanda and nephew Agastya Nanda for helping him understand the younger generation better. Observing them grow up has made him a more thoughtful parent. He believes today’s children are independent thinkers who need logical reasons for decisions, and he finds this shift inspiring.
The actor also emphasized that bridging the generational gap requires understanding and adapting to modern challenges, a mindset he hopes other parents will embrace.
Abhishek’s parenting philosophy highlights the importance of nurturing trust, encouraging curiosity, and embracing the evolving dynamics between parents and children.
