Maye Musk, the mother of tech billionaire Elon Musk, recently appeared on the American show FOX & Friends to share parenting advice. She suggested that families should have kids, even if they don’t have a lot of money.

Maye shared her own experience. When Elon Musk was born, her family lived in a small two-bedroom apartment. As her family grew, they managed to move to slightly bigger homes. She said, “You don’t have to go to the movies, you don’t have to go out to dinner. Children are the most wonderful gifts you could have.”

Her comments received mixed reactions. Some people found her advice out of touch, as many families struggle financially today. They believe raising kids is harder now due to high costs of living, lack of jobs, and fewer resources for parents.

Maye Musk’s suggestion to sacrifice luxuries, like dining out or watching movies, to have more children has sparked debates. Critics also pointed out that wealth inequality makes her advice difficult for families facing financial stress.

This discussion comes at a time when birth rates are declining in many parts of the world, and people are making careful choices about starting families.

What do you think? Is it easier to raise children by cutting costs, or is it more complicated today?
